Reflections from the ground surrounding the RWP (through antenna sidelobes)

Ground clutter echoes are observed due to the ubiquitous sidelobes of finite aperture antennas in comibination with the high receiver sensitivity, see e.g. Woodman/Guillen (1974), Sato/Woodman (1982), Martner et.al. (1993), May/Strauch (1998).
